Round 6  of the TRANSCANADA MOTORSPORTS/CAPITOL MOTOSPORTS Fall Series gets underway this Sunday September 12th at Prairie Hill MX in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. ATV’s will  NOT be running this weekend.

Even if you’re not racing…. head out and watch some of Manitoba’s finest MX riders! Practice will start at 8:00am and the race action will get underway around 9:30am. Great food including breakfast will be served from the canteen… which will be open on Sunday starting at 7:30am.

****NOTE:  THERE WILL ALSO BE AN OPEN PRACTICE RUN ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH FROM 10AM-4PM.  COST IS $25/RIDER.**** THIS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A DEATH IN THE FAMILY.

Directions: From Winnipeg go west on highway #2. At Holland, turn south on #34 to Pilot Mound or take #3 from Winnipeg to Pilot Mound. From the junction of #3 & #253 (Esso) go 2 miles west, turn right on road #65, head 3 miles north, turn left and go 3/4 of a mile. The track is on the south side of the road (2 hours from Winnipeg).

Gate Admission: $10 per person, children ages 5-12 are $5 and children under 5 are free!  Camping is $10 per vehicle.  DUE TO A DEATH IN THE FAMILY, GATES WILL NOT OPEN TILL 3PM ON SATURDAY AND NO ADMISSION WILL BE ALLOWED IN TO THE FACILITY BEFORE 3PM. ….PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND COOPERATE WITH THE PROMOTER’S WISHES.

Reminder: All Beginner classes and ALL Super Mini classes & smaller must get their bikes & helmet tech inspected during sign-in hours ONLY.  (as posted below)   CLICK HERE for more info.

Track Type: Hi speed track with awesome flow, black loamy dirt, very rider friendly. Track has multiple tables, two rhythm sections and one bush section with 1:40  lap times.

Registration: Please PRE-REGISTER ONLINE by Noon on Friday, September 10th and then sign-in on Saturday (7:00-9:00pm) or Sunday (6:00-7:00am). Remember…late fees are in effect for failing to pre-register or late sign-in. Riders meeting is at 7:30AM, practice starts at 8:00AM and racing action gets under way Sunday at 9:30AM…..bring your umbrella (for the sun) and tune into 95.3 FM for all the play by play race action.

Minors: New Policy for 2010:  all riders under the age of 18 must have a Minor Participant Waiver and Parental Waiver filled out and brought to EVERY RACEPLEASE save some time and print them off at home, have them filled out and bring them to sign in.  Or, you can get the forms at the MMA sign-in trailer.  Click here for the Minor Participant Waiver and Click here for the Parental Waiver.

A bike washing station will also be available for $5/wash.

*Note* No entry into the complex will be allowed prior to 3pm Saturday and between midnight and 5:30 am, so to avoid disappointment, please schedule your arrival accordingly.

Who Enjoys Motocross? Motocross has truly become a family event. Spectators come in all age groups, getting together to not only enjoy the racing but all of the other activities. We provide security, plenty of restroom facilities, lots of food is available, medical personnel are on hand, and you’ll find Pilot Mound be an extremely MX friendly community.

We Do Ask For Help: Our goal is to make Motocross fun and safe for everyone who attends. Therefore we ask your help in observing our rules. Personal fireworks are not allowed. We ask you to not use profane language and that you conduct yourself respectfully. Of course, we do not tolerate any weapons, intoxication, drugs, disorderly conduct, consumption of alcohol by minors and other violations of law. We are happy to report that incidents of this nature are rare.

Open practice at Pilot Mound CANCELLED

There will be an open practice at Pilot Mound on September 11, 2010…..day before the September 12th race.
Cost:  $25/rider
Time:  10am-4pm
Practice will be broken into 4 groups.  Beginner/Junior, Pro/Intermediate, 85cc/65cc & 50cc and each will run in 15 minute intervals.
A CMRC licence is required to participate in the open practice.
There will still be a track building competition for the kids on Saturday night, so bring your little shovels, little dirt bikes and good ideas!!!

The Latest Issue of MMA Illustrated and 2010 MMA T-shirts: Now Available!

The latest issue of “MMA Illustrated” and the 2010 MMA T-shirts will be available at all races.  The magazine sells for $5 and T-shirts are $15 or 2/$25.  Magazines will be available at the gate and both will be available at the MMA trailer!

T-shirts are available in black or white with the new logo and a really great new design. There is only one printing order that will be done for 2010 and sizes are/were: S, M, L, XL, XXl…..once they’re gone…..they’re gone!

Due to all the rained out races in the Spring Series, the Fall Series will be extended to make up for those missed races.  The FALL SERIES will run as follows (changes/additions are in bold):

August 21st and 22nd – DOUBLE HEADER in Beausejour
August 29th – Baldur
September 12th – Pilot Mound

Transponders: For Sale

Just a reminder that the MMA has recently received more “personal” transponders that are up for sale to any members. These are brand new in the box and the subsidized cost is $200 per….and each unit comes with a mounting bracket and 120/12 volt charger.

Once the transponder is registered,  you can  set up a profile and get additional free services from the MyLaps website to show things like individual lap times…. plus you save on all future rental costs. You could even rent/lend it out to a friend or sibling if they run a different class than you do.
