Round 1 of the 2012 MMA Provincial Race Series at Prairie Hill MX in Pilot Mound on Sunday May 13th

Round 1 of the 2012 MMA Provincial Race Series gets underway on Sunday May 13th at Prairie Hill MX in Pilot Mound, Manitoba.

Even if you’re not racing…. you’ll be part of a weekend filled with excitement while watching the best motocross racing Manitoba has to offer! Great food including breakfast will be served from the canteen… which will be open on Sunday starting at 6:30am. Rider SIgn in is from 7-9pm on Saturday and 6-7am on Sunday. Riders meeting is at 7:30AM, practice starts at 8:00AM and racing action gets under way at 9:30AM…..don’t forget to bring your your umbrella (for the sun) and tune into 95.3 FM for all the play by play action.

Directions: From Winnipeg go west on highway #2. At Holland, turn south on #34 to Pilot Mound or take #3 from Winnipeg to Pilot Mound. From the junction of #3 & #253 (Esso) go 2 miles west, turn right on road #65, head 3 miles north, turn left and go 3/4 of a mile. The track is on the south side of the road (2 hours from Winnipeg).

Gate Admission: $10 per person, children ages 5-12 are $5 and children under 5 are free! Overnight camping is $10 per vehicle.

Track Type: Hi speed track with awesome flow, black loamy dirt, very rider friendly. Track has multiple tables, two rhythm sections and one bush section with 1:40 lap times.

Registration: THERE IS NO PRE-REGISTRATION. Just come to Sign in on Saturday (7:00-9:00pm) or Sunday (6:00-7:00am).

Minors: Reminder: All riders under the age of 18 must have a Minor Participant Waiver and Parental Waiver filled out and brought to EVERY RACE. PLEASE save some time and print them off at home, have them filled out and bring them to sign in……Or you can get them at the MMA administration trailer.

*Note* No entry into the complex will be allowed between midnight and 5:30 am, so to avoid disappointment, please schedule your arrival accordingly.

Who Enjoys Motocross? Motocross has truly become a family event. Spectators come in all age groups, getting together to not only enjoy the racing but all of the other activities. We provide security, plenty of restroom facilities, lots of food is available, medical personnel are on hand, and you’ll find Pilot Mound to be an extremely MX friendly community.

We Do Ask For Help: Our goal is to make Motocross fun and safe for everyone who attends. Therefore we ask your help in observing our rules. Personal fireworks are not allowed. We ask you to not use profane language and that you conduct yourself respectfully. Of course, we do not tolerate any weapons, intoxication, drugs, disorderly conduct, consumption of alcohol by minors and other violations of law. We are happy to report that incidents of this nature are rare.

2012 Membership renewals

For the 2012 race season, all membership applications and renewals will be done through the MMA. Your 2011 race number will still be available to you. Further information will follow shortly after the AGM. Just hang tight….there is no racing for several months….no one will get your number and we should have everything in place shortly.

-2011 KTM 250 SX (yes, the 2 stroke version).
-VIN: VBKMXM235BM259458.
-CMRC # 46 red on white.

-Other marks; one very small nick on the left radiator side cover and sharpie marks on the clickers.

2011 MMA Banquet Special Award Nominations

Ryan Roy Award: The intent of the award is to recognize a Junior rider who stands out because of his sportsmanship and determination, along with other contributing factors.

Award of Excellence: The award of excellence is given to a rider who embodies excellence in the sport of motocross, both on and off the track. The purpose of the award is to recognize the efforts made by any particular rider, and showcase those efforts with an award.

Track of the Year: I think the title speaks for itself. This award goes to the track that’s most deserving of the title “Track of the Year”.

Most improved 85cc Rider: Once again the title speaks for itself. We’re looking for someone that has struggled their way to success.

To nominate a rider or track for an award, please send your name, the rider/ track’s name and the reason for the nomination HERE.

Awards Banquet Update

Tickets for the October 15th year end Awards Banquet will be available at the MMA administration trailer for all of the remaining races. You can reserve a table if the whole table is purchased (10 seats).

Banquet will be at the Canad Inns Club Regent location…in Winnipeg.

Tickets are $40 per person and 12 and under are $25. Tickets will go fast so plan ahead!

Don’t forget…. we welcome any and all items or certificates for our always fun, Chinese auction. Item pick up will be available and we can get the donating company’s logo put in the Power Point presentation. (if you choose?)
