Round 1 of the TRANSCANADA MOTORSPORTS / CAPITOL MOTOSPORTS Fall Series: Moto Park-X on Sunday July 25th in Altona, MB.

Round 1  of the TRANSCANADA MOTORSPORTS/CAPITOL MOTOSPORTS Fall Series gets underway this Sunday July 25th at Moto Park X in Altona, Manitoba. ATV’s will  NOT be running this weekend.

Even if you’re not racing…. head out and watch some of Manitoba’s finest MX riders! Practice will start at 8:00am and the race action will get underway around 9:30am. Great food including breakfast will be served from the canteen… which will be open on Sunday starting at 6:30am.  

Directions: From Altona; go south on Hwy #30 1.5 km past McDonalds restaurant, Turn east at Road 6 North  and go 0.8km…..the track will be on the north side. (Track is approx. 1.5 hours south of Winnipeg)

GPS Coordinates: 49º 05′ 20.82″ N 97º 31′ 59.36″ W

Gate Admission: $10 per person, children ages 5-12 are $5 and children under 5 are free!  Camping is $10.

Reminder: All Beginner classes and ALL Super Mini classes & smaller must get their bikes & helmet tech inspected during sign-in hours ONLY.  (as posted below)   CLICK HERE for more info.

Track Type: High speed mostly clay track with lots of jumps, doubles, whoops and bermed corners. Track has a  40 bike starting gate.

Registration: Please PRE-REGISTER ONLINE by NOON on Friday, July 23rd and then sign-in on Saturday (7:00-9:00pm) or Sunday (6:00-7:00am). Remember…late fees are in effect for failing to pre-register or late sign-in. Riders meeting is at 7:30AM, practice starts at 8:00AM and racing action gets under way Sunday at 9:30AM…..bring your umbrella (for the sun) and tune into 95.3 FM for all the play by play race action.

Minors: New Policy for 2010:  all riders under the age of 18 must have a Minor Participant Waiver and Parental Waiver filled out and brought to EVERY RACEPLEASE save some time and print them off at home, have them filled out and bring them to sign in.  Or, you can get the forms at the MMA sign-in trailer.  Click here for the Minor Participant Waiver and Click here for the Parental Waiver.

*Note* No entry into the complex will be allowed between midnight and 5:30 am, so to avoid disappointment, please schedule your arrival accordingly.

Who Enjoys Motocross? Motocross has truly become a family event. Spectators come in all age groups, getting together to not only enjoy the racing but all of the other activities. We provide security, plenty of restroom facilities, lots of food is available, medical personnel are on hand, and you’ll find Altona be an extremely MX friendly community.

We Do Ask For Help: Our goal is to make Motocross fun and safe for everyone who attends. Therefore we ask your help in observing our rules. Personal fireworks are not allowed. We ask you to not use profane language and that you conduct yourself respectfully. Of course, we do not tolerate any weapons, intoxication, drugs, disorderly conduct, consumption of alcohol by minors and other violations of law. We are happy to report that incidents of this nature are rare.

LAST Round of the CAPITOL MOTOSPORTS/TRANSCANADA MOTORSPORTS Spring Series: Prairie Hill MX Track on Sunday July 11th in Pilot Mound, MB.

**NOTE:  Pilot Mound has not had rain like other parts of the province, so it is not flooded.  Please check the MMA’s Twitter Page for up to date info.**

The LAST ROUND of the CAPITOL MOTOSPORTS/TRANSCANADA MOTORSPORTS Spring Series gets underway this Sunday July 11th at Prairie Hill MX Track in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. ATV’s will  NOT be running this weekend.

“We are trying to establish our pit area and have sown a mixture of grasses. Please help us by NOT having any open fires or tearing it up with your bikes.

Directions: From Winnipeg go west on highway #2. At Holland, turn south on #34 to Pilot Mound or take #3 from Winnipeg to Pilot Mound. From the junction of #3 & #253 (Esso) go 2 miles west, turn right on road #65, head 3 miles north, turn left and go 3/4 of a mile. The track is on the south side of the road (2 hours from Winnipeg).

Open Practice at Pilot Mound

There will be an Open Practice at Pilot Mound on July 10th, 2010….the day before the Spring Series wraps up at Pilot Mound on Sunday, July 11th.
Cost:  $30/person
Time:  9am-2pm
Registration:  Starts at 8am on July 10th
Groups:  Pro/Intermediate, Beginners, Juniors, 85cc, 50cc/65cc
Practice will run in 15 minute sessions.
Goon Race to follow at 5pm………you won’t want to miss it!!

CMRC LICENCE INCREASE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Effective July 1st, 2010:

All CMRC Annual Licence Fees will be $140 due to the new HST.  The breakdown of the new price will be $123.89 plus 13% HST(Harmonized Sales Tax) for a total of $140.

Insurance Only Passes that can be purchased at Clinics will be $35.  The breakdown of the new price will  be $31.97 plus 13% HST(Harmonized Sales Tax) for a total of $35.

Day Passes will be $60.  The break down of the new price will be $53.10 plus 13% HST(Harmonized Sales Tax for a total of $60.

MMA Spring Series Extended

Due to all the rained out races, the MMA Spring Series will be extended to include the July 11th race in Pilot Mound. To recap, the Spring Series will end after the July 11th race in Pilot Mound.
