Pilot Mound Social
A social evening is being held for Kyle McCannell and Melissa Sexton on FRIDAY, May 11 in Pilot Mound – no minors. Come out early for the races that weekend as you are invited to stay at the track. Tickets may be purchased from Capitol Motorsports, Kyle McCannell (825-4288) or Jackie McCannell (825-8285). If there is enough interest shown we will try to rent a bus to transport you from the track to the social and back again for a minimal fee of $5 per head. If you would like to book a seat on the bus please phone Jackie a.s.a.p. to confirm a spot. A come & go shower for Melissa will also be held in Pilot Mound at the C.E. Building (United Church) from 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, May 12.

2012 Membership Applications
The required materials for purchasing your 2012 MMA racing license are now available!
Please print off and fill out BOTH: Application Form and Waiver Form
Once completed, attach both forms with your payment and mail to:

Once your application has been received you will be sent a confirmation email, and shortly thereafter your membership card will be mailed back out to you.
Number preference (if the same) will be granted to the rider who held that number for that class last year.
i.e.: If you had #25 in 2011 and you wanted it again, you will have #25 again for 2012.
*NEW FOR 2012: Family rates for racing licenses will be available at $225 for purchasing three or more licenses for one family, in one household. Please send all membership applications in the same envelope.
i.e.: If there are four family members in your household who will be racing you can get all four memberships for a flat $225 instead of $300 when buying four individual licenses.
**One day race licenses will be available on race day for $20 per rider.
***Deadline for completing your application to retain your 2011 number is March 4, 2012.

New Additional 2012 Information
In response to some recent comments and questions regarding the topic: here is the new class structure with their corresponding number-plate colour configurations.
A Class - (combination of formerly Intermediate and Pro levels) will be recommended to run Black on White (450 riders) and White on Black (250 riders) as you would have in the past in the respective pro level classes.
B Class – (formerly Junior level) will be recommended to run Red on White for any B division classes.
C Class – (formerly Beginner level) will also be recommended to run Red on White in any C division classes.
These changes also reflect the Vet Class riders wanting to compete in those A/B classes.
Mini bike classes (85cc and under) will not be affected by these changes, please continue to run the number styles you have been in previous seasons.
**Again, these are all only strong recommendations. For example: if you choose to keep your Black on Yellow Intermediate numbers from last season when competing in the A class this season you will not be penalized in any way.

Important News and the 2012 MMA Schedule
*NOTE: IMPORTANT SERIES CHANGES*
We will be having one series, not a spring and fall series. There will be 10 races, and you can drop 2 races, so you will be scored on your top 8 races. The first race will be an exhibition, non-points race (in addition to the other 10 races) so that we can make sure the day will run smoothly. We will be going away from Beginner, Junior, Intermediate and Pro classes in favour of the A, B, C class structure. There will be 250 and 450 classes and also an open class in each of the A, B and C divisions. We have secured insurance that encompasses all of the club’s needs. We are working with Criti-Care to provide the necessary medics for race day due to the fact that the Moto-Medic team has retired. We will soon have things in place for you to buy your memberships. We have met with all the promoters and are working hard to have a positive race day. We are very pleased to now post the race schedule for 2012. Updates will be posted online as they become available.
