Josh has been racing motocross since 2002 and has quickly risen to the professional level.  Over those years he has become a great friend to many and an amazing mentor to younger riders.

Josh was racing in Fergus Falls, MN this past January at an indoor track.  He crashed over a large jump and was hospitalized in Fargo.  His injuries were extensive and extremely serious, and Josh is currently paralyzed below the mid-chest.

Josh is presently at the Health Sciences Centre undergoing intense rehabilitation.  Throughout this past month we have seen both our family and friends supporting Josh and each other.  His attitude is positive and his faith is strong.  He believes, as do we, that he will walk again.

The Walk in Faith fundraiser is supported by the Manitoba Motocross Association, family, friends, riders and the community.  All proceeds from the Walk in Faith fundraiser will go to Josh and his wife Charity to assist in their new walk of life together.

We are expecting well over 500 to attend this event. Our silent auction is going to be a very large part in making this event a success and we would like to ask for your help. We are looking for prizes, large or small that we can auction off. Gift certificates, products, services etc. are all welcome.

The social will be held April 24, 2010 at the Morden Recreation Centre.  We will be in the arena …not the hall.

Josh Shiskoski is a member of the Manitoba Motocross Association and has been riding in the pro class since I can remember…. he was involved in a serious on track arenacross accident on January 24th at Fergus Falls, Minnesota;

I felt lucky to find parking as close as I did to the HSC as I popped in to visit. Josh was watching the Olympics on TV and had just finished a large pizza that was delivered from DJ’s Pizza in Winkler… thanks to Charity, his wife. We chatted for some time and discussed last nights’ supercross, the ongoing AMA saga of Dungey/Lawrence and tons of other stuff…..

Josh and Charity were both in great spirits the whole time I was there ….. I salute their courage and strength at this very difficult time.  He’s at the Health Sciences Centre, located in Winnipeg at 820 Sherbrook St. and of course… visitors are always welcome!

He asks that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he looks ahead toward a full recovery with hopes that he will soon be up and walking again.

Have faith Josh….we’re all pulling for you!
