Transponders
As most of you know, the MMA was working towards implementing a new transponder system(Motosponder) that was intended to streamline things. Unfortunately, that has not turned out as planned.
The new system was tested 2 times prior to Altona, and while we didn’t have complete success we thought things were worked out by the end of the Altona race. The following weekend in Pilot Mound showed us that those issues were not worked out.
Our number 1 priority is the riders, and what’s in their best interest, so the decision has been made to go back to the MyLaps system(orange transponders) for now, starting in Melita. We will continue to work on the Motosponder system in the hopes of having it eventually work, but this “testing” will not be done on race day.
As I am still trying to figure out how this will all work, I don’t have all the details/solutions yet. Please keep checking the MMA website as more info will be posted as soon as it’s available.
Thank you for your patience and consideration. I understand this is frustrating, and I feel the same way, but I promise that we are working hard to come up with the best possible solution so that you have fast, accurate results on race day and access to an online results format.

To all “C” Class Riders-SUPER IMPORTANT!!!
Those of you who attended the Altona Sunday Funday on May 6th know how incredibly large the “C” class was. It was huge. Almost 50 riders. While the size of the class means increased interest in the sport(woo hoo!!) it also means qualifiers at every race(not woo hoo). I know that qualifiers can be part of MX, but wouldn’t you rather race 2 full motos?
“C”, or Beginner, is designed for those just starting racing and is not the automatic next step after an 85(contrary to popular belief). That being said, there are probably some riders who really should not be in the “C” class, and there are probably some riders that would like to move to the “B” class.
Instead of just shouting orders, I’d like to give riders the opportunity to move up to “B”, or Junior, on their own. The alternative to that involves me picking through the “C” class and moving up riders who shouldn’t be there. Unfortunately, if I have to pick through the class after the first race, some of you that will be required to move up will lose any points you’ve accumulated.
If you’d like to move up to “B”, please send me an email or come see me in Pilot Mound during sign in.
Thank you for your time and consideration….I appreciate it!

Your Feedback Required: Year End Event
The MMA would like YOUR ideas, opinions, and suggestions toward the location, type, and style of this year’s year end award (Banquet) event!
We are looking to potentially switch up the event for 2012. Some people have expressed an interest in a change of venue location, formality atmosphere, etc…
One idea: How about a less formal Social type of event in something like a community centre? This would include something like a catered dinner. Or do you prefer the more formal Banquet style of evening at a Canad-Inns that has been the case for the past several years?
The year end event takes a lot of pre-planning so any and all forms of feedback is appreciated and will be taken into consideration.
Please email your ideas and suggestions HERE.
